Biography:
Shannen Banzhoff is a graduate of Shepherd University, with a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance - Musical Theatre, and a Bachelors Degree in Music Education. Shannen has studied voice under Melanie Regan, Warren Freeman, Niki Perini, and Barbara Irvine. She frequently performs at and choreographs for multiple theatres in the MD and WV areas. Shannen is a BroadwayWorld West Virginia Regional Award winning choreographer for her work with the Shepherd University Scene Stealers' production of Godspell - 2012 Revised Version, as well as a winner for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance of Princess Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress (Apollo Civic Theatre). Shannen is also a Lorrie Award winning actress for her performance of Jan in Grease (Washington County Playhouse). Favourite past roles include: Louise in GYPSY (Washington County Playhouse), Princess Winnifred in Once Upon A Mattress (Apollo Civic Theatre), Dorothy Gale in Wizard of Oz (Old Opera House), Mimi Marquez in RENT (Shepherd University Scene Stealers), and Kate Monster in Avenue Q (Shepherd University).
